Hi,
Mike - The poster did arrive today (thank you!) but it seemed somewhat damaged
in spots. We could not tell if it was due to shipping or how it was packaged
for shipping. But parts are definitely "crinkled", so it looks
damaged and would not be appealing for display. Is it possible to get a second
shipment and see if it arrives in better condition?
Also,
we were wondering what specific type of erasable marker is to be used on that
material? (Some manufacturers say not to use "dry erase".)

All the links to the pictures used in your .ai file are missing,
maybe that is why that piece looked low resolution the first time around..
And to mount these onto 3/16" foam core and get them to you
will cost an extra $274. But 3/16" foam core dents and dings pretty
easily, so I've also price out the mount to 3mm pvc and that will cost $333
more.

into frames initially.

are getting our walls repainted in a few months. Probably, I would just

It
looks like the Bureau Vertitas logo lost it's transparent background in the
file conversion. There was
a
'pure'-white box around the logo.
I
tried to fix the file. I filled the box around the logo to match the
off-white background. Please check to make sure
that
I didn't mess up the integrity of the image.
I
was confused about your comment 'The dry erase posters

mean
by 'qty 1'? I am assuming that you mean quantity? So if I order
more than 1...then they won't have the backing?
You
can create an invoice for 6 posters (assuming that they all have backing...).

low quantities they come with the sticky back and that is done inline (large
format; same machine as printer, right after printing). In quantity 6, your
price will be $135 shipped.
At
higher quantities (100 or more) we can print with offset and then laminate with dry erase laminate.
However,
we also have a 20pt styrene we can dry erase laminate inline -
That will cost $195 for six shipped.

I was sick yesterday. The proof that you sent back (ver 3)

thoughts on why this is happening?

Oh,
I read your email wrong. The box is probably an artifact from raterizing in
photoshop; but I can remove it.
Styrene
is not like foam core at all. It is solid plastic, 20pt thick, then laminated
with dry erase film.
If
you frame, either would work fine. I would recommend the cheaper version (with
sticky back) and just ignore the backing.

Dry erase posters
are generally not rigid; they are normally printed on sticky back (removable)
for putting on to smooth walls.
If
you want dry erase on a rigid substrate, we can use coro or pvc.
How will you use it? Will you put on a big easel or screw into a wall?

can produce 15 24x36 dry erase posters for $406 and they can all
be different.
And
if that is too much, we can use regular gloss laminate and
most dry erase markers won't stick (those that do can be removed
with rubbing alcohol, but it is easier to just test the markers to see which
colors/brands wipe off completely). That would cost about $250 shipped and they
can all be different.

sample would be $30 by ground and $40 by 2 day ship. These are produced in Los
Angeles. So 6 business day to make and ship ground or 3 business days with 2
day ground.
If
you are in a hurry though we have a product from Michigan that is just slightly
higher, but has a much faster turn time. The 15 would be $425 and they can also
all be different. A sample from your art is $31 and should be with you in 3
business days or less.
I
think the latter will work better if you are in a bit of a rush.

excel and rulers don't seem to go together very well.

I will tackle this beast. Let me make sure the following is true (I'm using the
column letters and row numbers on the excel file):

those cases. Your order is going into production; but won't ship until the
invoice is paid.
Dry erase should
be either tacked or taped up or applied to a smooth, dry, & clean
surface. We don't recommend moving this a lot if you peel the back off. If you
do that, you will need to keep the back of the poster and the backing quite
clean and reapply the backing for storage.
We
print EVERYTHING ... flyers, cards, door hangers, shirts ... so ask us for a
quote.

We
make dry erase posters with and without low tack back (after a
layer is peeled off). So you would need a smooth wall to hang them from. It
will cost $182 shipped.
Or
you can just get a poster with regular gloss lamination and find
a dry erase marker that doesn't leave any residue behind (about
2/3rds of them will not). Something like that will cost about $111 shipped.
Rubbing alcohol can also be used for more stubborn markers.
If
this is for one school year, I would do the latter.

Also,
if you don't want to pay for dry-erase, most gloss laminates
are dry erase for most dry erase markers. So we
could just price regular gloss lamination and you could test your markers
on the regular gloss laminate. There might be 1 or 2 that don't work well. It
is possible to remove marker with rubbing alcohol as well.

There's
really no other way to print 3 copies of 15 posters than to use our wide format
inkjet printers. These also happen to have unbelievalbe quality.
We
have a promotion on our 8mil semi gloss. We would print inkjet with our 7
printhead colors (very nice, yet very efficient) and we could print all 45 and
ship them for $739. The inks are waterproof and fade resistant.
If
you wanted to go to the next level we have adhesive backed film we can print on
and laminate in matte or gloss. We could do all 45 that way for $925 shipped.
You can use them as stickers or leave the back on and nobody will ever know.

To
be frank, you are better off getting the gloss laminated ones, leaving the
adhesive backing on and using tape or velcro to hang at the top. The low tac
stuff will get dustier every time you take it down and it will likely fail the
second or third time. It would not be pretty, in my opinion. And any marks on
the front that do not remove with the normal procedure of wiping can be removed
with rubbing alcohol.
The
low tac stuff is better for applications where you don't want to ruin the wall.
Put up once and then remove and toss and there is no adhesive on the wall.
Gloss
laminate is the way to go to get dry erase.

a couple of things. Gloss laminate is the precursor
of dry erase laminate. Most dry erase pens just
wipe off with no problem. This could vary by the color of the marker. So test
your markers out first. Anything that does not come off by wiping can be
removed with rubbing alcohol.
And
the blank ones will cost the same as the printed ones since they all come down
the line where they are printed then immediately laminated. So they still have
to go down the shoot. That will push your bill to $1025 total (shipped).
If
you have time, we can certainly run one or two samples for you to try out. If
not, these should work just fine for you.

thought these were relatively think flexible vinyl sheets with
the dry erase coating, so should the walls make a difference?
We would need these to be put up on walls in hotel meeting rooms so I
can't be too sure of the wall texture.

normally use single use paper wallboards and permanent marker. Please

did just have a client try our gloss lam adhesive backed vinyl product and it
worked well for dryerase. It is much cheaper and you can just leave the
backing on (ignore it) as it add thickness to the product. Twelve would cost
$300 and you can do a sample of your art for $31 to check it out.
We
also have gloss lam posters that are quite cheap as well. Twelve would cost
$335 and a sample piece using your art would be $35.

just wanted to confirm - the two sign panels that Pete Dubler had you do for
him with the thicker plastic and 2 color double sided. He said it cost $180
delivered? Is that correct - do you have his order with all the details of the
exact size and thickness and materials? It was for 8103 Bruns Drive, Fort
Collins, CO 80525.
Please find this sign draft - it is not the correct size - the
size I believe is 3 feet high by 4 feet wide. But this will give you an idea of

Mike!
We, Acroment, have been powerless since Monday evening. I hope you and

For the word find, w/ gloss lam. you will need to use a marker
or dry
erase marker. The permanent marker can be removed w/ rubbing alcohol.
If you use matte lam on the back, then it is writable, but I'm not
sure how well pen could be removed.
